Install Compaq Visual Fortran 6.5 on Windows 7 x64

Compaq Visual Fortran is still popular in some laboratory. It is easy to install it on Windows 7 x64 as follows:

However, the workspace seems unstable and only command prompt may work well.

1. Move into X86 folder and invoke “setup.exe.” Do not invoke “setup.exe” in the top folder.
2. Just follow the instruction of the setup but it is recommended to manually set the install folders as “C:Program Files (x86)…,” or the setup program installs in “C:Program Files…”
