Field Survey in Thailand in July, 2014

We performed a field survey on the coasts of the upper Gulf of Thailand funded by JSPS Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research. We visited Samut Sakhon and Samut Prakan provinces where muddy coasts have suffered from severe erosion. Several measures have been implemented to protect the coasts and to restore mangrove, including installation of bamboo fences, revetments and sand sausages.
