2019.9.26-28 APAC2019 in Hanoi, Vietnam

Dr. Sasaki participated in International Conference on Asian and Pacific Coasts (APAC) 2019 in Hanoi, Vietnam, from September 26 to 28, 2019. From our lab, Mr. Endo (D3) presented our paper entitled "Mitigation of Anoxia and Hypoxia in Enclosed Shallow Fishing Grounds Using a Water Jet Generation Device." We also enjoyed a lunch meeting with Dr. Cong (friend since the period at Yokohama National University (YNU)) and Mr. Thanh (former student and M. E. in 2016) as well as engineers at DHI. 2019.9.4-9 Field trip in Yangon and Wunbaik Reserved Mangrove Forest in Myanmar

Dr. Sasaki visited Yangon and Wunbaik Reserved Mangrove Forest, Yambye Township, Kyaukpyu district, Myanmar, from September 4 to 9, 2019. Itinerary CX509 NRT/HKG 9:15/13:10,KA254 HKG/RGN 14:20/16:10 and KA251 RGN/HKG 1:25/6:00,CX526 HKG/NRT 8:10/13:35. Immigration at Yangon International Airport There was no disembarkation card, just showing passport and return e-ticket. SIM card Telenor was recommended, 11,000 Kyat for 7GB. From Airport to Yangon Best Western Chinatown Hotel by taxi A taxi counter was located in front of the exit No. 6 of the airport. It cost 12,000 Kyat. Sep. 1-2, 2019 UTokyo Hydrosphere Group Trip

Annual field trip organized by Hydrosphere Group, Department of Civil Engineering, The University of Tokyo, was held from September 1 to 2, 2019. We visited the Sakawagawa River watershed and stayed at Yamanaka Lodge of UTokyo. In the evening seminar after the dinner, Wang and Parastoo presented their research from our lab.
